A Hall County school bus carrying students had a small collision with another school bus of students in the parking lot of Lanier Elementary after school let out at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Hall County schools spokesman Gordon Higgins said students who were on the buses were unharmed, but medics were called to ensure all students are safe. Two additional buses have been called to take students home as usual, he said.

“Everyone is safe and the children were taken off the buses,” he said. “As a precaution, we called a med unit to make sure all the kids were OK. Several of the kids complained that their heads were hurting.”

Students are waiting inside the school to receive medical review and will be taken home once medics confirm there are no injuries, Higgins said.
