No injuries when boat capsizes on Lake Lanier

Waves from a storm caused an 18-foot vessel on Lake Lanier to capsize Sunday, June 30, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

No one was injured, as all three occupants were rescued by a nearby vessel, spokesman Mark McKinnon said.

The incident took place at Van Pugh Park off Gaines Ferry Road in South Hall.

No other details were immediately available.
