Proceeds from a Saturday night barbecue dinner at First Baptist Church will benefit local programs that help hungry children and women recovering from sex trafficking.

The Night of Awareness will begin at 5:30 p.m., with proceeds going to Gainesville-based SSRevolution, particularly its Beautiful Feet Ministries and Backpack Love programs

Deneshia Larson, co-host and co-owner of the TV show “The Natural Addiction,” will be the special guest speaker, and singer/songwriter Raychel Phillips will perform.

Jennifer and Beau Robson from SS Revolution and Christina Roberson from Beautiful Feet Ministries will also speak at the event.

Beautiful Feet seeks to “boldly and gently connect women in the sex industry to the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” according to its Facebook page. Backpack Love works “with organizations in our community to provide food for families weekly, hoping that in doing so, we not only fill hungry bellies, but, through Christ’s love, see lives changed through salvation,” according to its website.

Tickets, which will be available at the door, are $25 each. Johnny’s BBQ is catering the event in the banquet hall of the 751 Green St. NW church in Gainesville, and the night will include silent auction items and door prizes
