NGTC announces Bohannon as Rick Perkins Winner
Stacie Bohannon, who chairs the Health Sciences Department and is a medical assisting instructor, has been named North Georgia Technical College’s 2018 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction winner.

The Rick Perkins Award honors the Technical College System of Georgia’s most outstanding instructors. The award is designed to recognize technical college instructors who make significant contributions to technical education through innovation and leadership in their fields.

Instructors are nominated by their peers and submit their answer to a single question: “Why I chose to teach in technical education.” The answers are reviewed by a panel of judges, and a winner is chosen at each technical college.

Bohannon has taught at NGTC since 2007, after graduating from the medical assisting program and a four-year stint working in the field.
