Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Cancer Services recently expanded its Cancer Patient Navigation Program into the Braselton and Winder communities.

As a cancer patient, navigating the health care system with different doctors, facilities, tests and decisions can be a confusing and intimidating process. To help address these challenges, NGMC’s Cancer Patient Navigation Program offers patients guidance and support from cancer diagnosis through recovery.

Sandi Clark, a nurse, joins NGMC’s patient navigation team of three cancer nurse navigators and one American Cancer Society navigator. Clark will see patients by appointment at both the Braselton and Barrow hospital campuses, in suite 120 at Medical Plaza 1 and in the imaging suite at NGMC Barrow.

Cancer navigation services are provided Monday through Friday, free of charge, either by physician or self-referral.
