Dr. Summer Andersen will be join the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia staff as an associate veterinarian in March.
As associate veterinarian, Andersen will oversee the Humane Society’s affordable pet wellness clinic, which offers low-cost vaccines and other basic services to pet owners. She also will work closely with Dr. Jaime Feroli, the Humane Society’s medical director, to manage the veterinary care of adoptable animals.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Andersen has served as a general practice veterinarian in White and Hall counties. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University Veterinary School in Tuskegee, Ala. She also will receive her certification from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
