A South Carolina developer is working to create a retail center at the intersection of Limestone and Jesse Jewell parkways in Gainesville, according to the developer's website.

Carolina Holdings Inc. - a company known for developing, leasing and managing commercial and residential properties - has set its sights on developing "New Holland Market."

Plans for the project include approximately 460,000 square feet of "gross leasable area." The market may include retail, restaurant and commercial space.

Although "zoning entitlements" for the property are still being worked out, the Greenville, S.C.-based company is currently pre-leasing space.

Carolina Holdings has developed numerous properties including those in Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky.
