Grading is underway on a Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotel planned off Dawsonville Highway/Ga. 53 in Gainesville, beside Buffalo Wild Wings and behind Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. The four-story, 55,635-square-foot hotel will feature 94 rooms and an outdoor pool and patio, said Matt Tate, Gainesville’s planning manager. Holiday Inn officials couldn’t be reached for comment Tuesday.
