Contract negotiations between Northeast Georgia Health System and UnitedHealthcare may not be settled by the Aug. 21 deadline, leaving United policyholders out-of-network for the system. According to the Northeast Georgia Health System, the “likelihood is very high (the system) will be dropped from the UnitedHealthcare network.” “We’ve worked very hard to avoid this outcome, and this is not what we want for our community,” said Melissa Tymchuk, a spokeswoman for the system, in a press release.
