A Murrayville man was arrested by Hall County authorities Tuesday after investigators found $3,500 worth of methamphetamine at his home, Lt. Scott Ware said.

Barry Keith Shedd, 40, was arrested by Hall County Sherrif's Office Narcotics and Gang Task Force agents after a search of his home in the 5100 block of Smith Lane.

Along with possession of methamphetamine, agents found several sets of digital scales, marijuana and prescription medications, Ware said.

Shedd was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute, possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

Shedd was booked into the Hall County Jail.
