A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a wreck Sunday evening off Friendship Road and Sparta Way in Braselton.

The driver was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, according to Hall County Fire Services.

“Contrary to previous reports and/or questions, this incident did not involve a law enforcement officer,” spokesman Capt. Zachary Brackett said in an email.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident. Other details weren’t immediately available.
