One man was killed in a Monday afternoon wreck on Mundy Mill Road, according to Oakwood Police Chief Randall Moon.

A motorcyclist was traveling east on Mundy Mill Road at about 3:20 p.m. when he ran a red light and struck a trailer being pulled behind a small tanker truck, Moon said.

The truck was turning left onto Old Oakwood Road.

The motorcyclist was identified as William Preston Braswell, 55, of Oakwood, Hall County coroner Marion Merck said. Braswell was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the truck was not injured.

Traffic was detoured for about 45 minutes.
