With schools now out for the summer, options are popping up to provide food for children and their families. “We know that there is a certain percentage of the population, a big percentage, who live on the borderline of not being able to feed themselves and their children,” said Kay Blackstock, executive director of Georgia Mountain Food Bank. “The meals the children receive while in school ease the burden on the family.”
