A New Walk church in Gainesville is seeking backpacks to distribute to homeless people in the area. The church’s Homeless in Gainesville, Ga., ministry has a goal of providing 200 gender-neutral filled backpacks. Backpacks should contain Christian reading material, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor and shaving cream, deodorant, soap, shampoo, lotion, first aid kit, sewing kit, hand and feet warmers, socks, gloves, flashlight and batteries, lighter, tea light candles, poptop foods, crackers, candy and gum.
