Police have charged two Miami men and a Mableton man in the Thursday burglary of Gainesville Jewelry that resulted in the theft of more than $200,000 in merchandise.
Omar Plasencia, 30, and David Allen Lynch, 23, both of Miami, are being held in the Butts County jail.
Daphete Cooper, 21, of Mableton, is being held in the Lowndes County Jail.
All three are charged with one count of burglary, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of criminal damage in the second degree.
Police say they don’t know when the men will be transferred to Hall County custody.
The men are accused of breaking into Gainesville Jewelry on Jesse Jewell Parkway early Thursday and forcing their way into jewelry cases to take the merchandise.
The charges were filed after authorities in Lowndes and Butts counties had arrested five people after traffic stops and Gainesville police investigators went to both counties.

Gainesville police said that two other people are being held in the Lowndes County Jail on charges unrelated to committing the Gainesville Jewelry burglary, but related to possession of stolen property from the burglary.
Lowndes authorities also arrested Sonji Jackson and Johnnie Salter, also of Mableton.
All the jewelry will remain with Butts and Lowndes counties’ sheriff’s offices pending ownership verification, Gainesville police said.
Police are still investigating whether the suspects were involved in the July 14 burglary of Dimo’s Fine Jewelry on Browns Bridge Road.
