A Hall County bus driver was found parked on the side of Interstate 985 and taken to the hospital this afternoon.

Bill Sublett was on his way to White Sulphur Elementary School to begin his afternoon route when he had what EMTs classified as a medical emergency. Few other details were immediately available about his condition.

At some point Sublett "left the interstate and was sitting along the side of the highway," according to a press release from Hall County Schools.

School spokesman Gordon Higgins said there were no students on the bus at the time of the incident.

Sublett has been employed as a bus driver for the school system since August 2008.
