Residents in the Martin Road community of South Hall said some 20 signs regarding the planned expansion in the area have gone missing.

Signs about “Stop Exit 14/Martin Road Expansion” and the upcoming Wednesday meeting on the topic disappeared over the weekend, resident Darlene Long said.

“Our main purpose is to be very transparent and invite the community regarding Martin Road,” she said.

Fellow resident Brian Bright said the signs were on private property in the Quailwood area and toward Atlanta Highway.

“Prior to now, we haven’t had any issues with it,” Bright said.

A meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at the Mulberry Creek Community Center on JM Turk Road in Flowery Branch.

“We have canvassed all the neighborhoods in the area, and it’s probably 600 homes now,” Long said.

Since the signs’ disappearance, Bright has moved signs further into his property. Long did not have an idea of who or what may have caused the signs to disappear.

“It frustrates you when there’s things like that going on,” she said.
