Two people were found dead Aug. 20 at this home in north Forsyth County.

Authorities believe a Forsyth County man was killed by his wife in a murder-suicide in north Forsyth.

Deputies arrived at a home in the 5400 block of Memphis Street in north Forsyth at about 3:45 a.m. after a friend of the family called 911 for a welfare check at the house, according to Cpl. Doug Rainwater of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Inside the home they discovered the bodies of Adrian Lavaughn Brewster, 50, and Jackielyn Belangel Brewster, 32, both of Cumming. Rainwater said they believe Jackielyn Brewster murdered her husband sometime over the weekend before taking her own life on Monday morning.

Adrian Brewster was a teacher at Etowah High School in Cherokee County.

Rainwater said the cause of death for both individuals is being withheld until an autopsy is concluded.

Two children younger than 10 were found unharmed in the home and have been taken to an undisclosed location, he said.

The incident will continue to be investigated by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
