A man using a yard blower was injured after being struck by a vehicle and has been taken by helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, authorities said.

The mishap took place about 1:10 p.m. on Hidden Oaks Drive in South Hall, Fire Chief David Kimbrell said.

The person injured is a man in his late 20s or early 30s, he added.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.

No other details were immediately available.
