Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office investigators want to question a man in connection with a sexual assault and robbery that took place Jan. 5 in South Forsyth County near Strickland Road and Ga. 9.

Juan Antonia Salvador is described as a Latino male, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-6, 140 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. He is 17 years old.

Authorities suspect Salvador of breaking into the victim’s home, sexually assaulting her and then taking cash and jewelry before leaving.

Upon leaving, he took the victim’s car, a 1998 white Chevrolet Blazer, license plate 365STK, authorities say. The victim’s car has not been recovered. He was armed with a hatchet during the incident and is considered armed at this time, officials say.

Salvador is a day laborer and frequents the area of Strickland Road and Ga. 9. He is also known to have recently been in the Augusta area.

Anyone with information about Salvador’s whereabouts is asked to call Investigator Brooke Miller at Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, 770-781-3071 or the anonymous CrimeStoppers line at 770-888-7308.
