A garbage truck driver was injured and transported to the hospital Tuesday morning after his truck rolled onto its side as he turned right onto Queen City Parkway from Aviation Boulevard, according to Sgt. Anthony Coleman of the Georgia State Patrol. The driver was seriously injured in the 9 a.m. incident, which involved no other vehicles, according to Keith Smith, Gainesville Fire Department spokesman. The truck “turned over and slid off of the road,” Smith said.
