A Hall County Sheriff's Office deputy was involved in a Thursday morning wreck that injured another driver.

Deputy Kirk Lee Palmer was driving south on U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway when a Dodge Ram pickup truck pulled into his path at River North Drive, south of Honeysuckle Lane, said Gordy Wright, spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol, which is investigating the 7:30 a.m. accident.

The truck driver, Miguel Arellano, 54, of Gainesville, "was unable to stop at the intersection and struck the patrol car," Wright said. "After impact, the Ram overturned into a ditch."

Arellano was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with injury complaints, Wright said.

The deputy was not transported, he added.
