A 25-year-old man received first and second degree burns from a house fire this morning in Lula, authorities said.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said crews responded to the fire at about 5 a.m. in the 4500 block of East Hall Road, but after arriving it was determined the home was in Banks County.

Hall County Fire Services assisted the Banks County Fire Department to control the blaze coming from the rear of the 1,200-square-foot mobile home, with heavy smoke throughout.

Kimbrell said units were able to control the fire quickly and Banks County authorities are continuing to investigate.

The injured man was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where his identity and condition have not been released.
