A man has been charged with murder after an argument inside a Braselton home, according to authorities.
Allen Bredig, 62, called 911 after allegedly admitting to dispatchers that he shot William Halbman, 52, at the home on Highway 53 in Braselton around 5 p.m. Friday, July 26, according to a press release from Jackson County Sheriff Janice Mangum.
“Bredig advised 911 that Halbman came to his residence and an argument started, at which time the shooting occurred,” Mangum said in the release.
Halbman was taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he died. The two men were acquaintances, according to the release.
