A 33-year-old man surrendered to Gainesville police Sunday afternoon after holding his 4-year-old daughter hostage at knifepoint for 38 minutes. Leslie Brinkley, 33, was charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault in the incident, which took place at 1:41 p.m. at Chicopee Crossing townhomes on Atlanta Highway. Police got a call that somebody had a knife and was inside the home.
