Bruce Johnson of At The Tracks restaurant on Main Street in Lula talks to Lula City Council about a proposed alcoholic beverages ordinance, which the council ended up approving.
Liquor drinks can be served in Lula starting March 1, as City Council approved a new alcoholic beverages ordinance Monday night by a 4-0 vote. Councilman Lamb Griffin abstained from the vote. Before the vote, the council worked for about an hour ironing out key details, including that drinks can be served 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday and that food sales must make up at least 51 percent of all receipts.
