As gas prices hit a record low for the year Saturday morning at $2.48 a gallon average in Gainesville, the steady decline in gas prices across the country has everyone excited — not just customers. “The lower gas prices have helped a lot, not just for people being able to afford to get gas,” said Ricky Mohan, owner of the Thompson Bridge Exxon. “Before, people would have just enough money to get gas and that’s it.
