Veterans Day is Sunday, and several events are happening locally to honor those who have served. On Sunday at 2 p.m., the Vietnam Veterans of America will lay a wreath at the Vietnam Veterans monument at Rock Creek Veterans Park in Gainesville, then at the new Korean War monument there. The veterans will meet again at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 7, where author Margaret Brown will sign and speak about her Vietnam War book, “That Time, That Place, That War.”
