Local company coats panels for One World Trade Center

Workers spray the positively charged powder onto the negatively grounded bare metal parts, and the coating bonds electrostatically. Then it’s on to the near-400-degree oven to bake. The powder emits none of the harmful volatile organic compounds that spray paint does. With some colors, the overspray can be collected from the spray booth floor and reused. - photo by NAT GURLEY
