Less than 100 without power in Hall in midst of thunderstorms

Less than 100 Hall County residents were without power at 4 p.m. as thunderstorms rolled through the area Wednesday afternoon. More than 1,600 were without power at the height of the storms.

Outages were affecting Jackson Electric Membership Corp. customers in the largest concentrations east of Flowery Branch and from Roy Parks Road to U.S. 129. The utility reported five individual outages affecting about 90 customers in Hall County as of 4 p.m.

Less than five Georgia Power customers in Hall County didn’t have power as of 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a significant weather advisory for South Hall. Residents could see heavy rain, hail and lightning.
