Lenox Drive off Athens Highway in east Gainesville is closed as crews work to repair the roadway after a storm drain pipe failed. Stan Aiken, senior civil engineer, said heavy rains caused a part of the road, located about 600 feet past Cannon Ridge Court, to be undermined. Public Works crews were called Tuesday to help with the damage, and a contractor is being brought in to repair the road, Aiken said.
