Leaf removal continues in Gainesville
Allen Mull, left, and Mike Maxwell vacuum leaves along Lakeview Circle as Gainesville Public Works crews continue with curbside leaf removal. The twice-monthly service will continue through January 2015.

More than 120 loads of leaves have been picked up this season in Gainesville, according to city officials.

Curbside leaf pickup in the city continues through January. Residents should rake leaves into narrow piles behind the curb, with trash and limbs removed. Leaves picked up after January must be bagged.

The service is not provided to businesses.

Homes west and south of a line from Thompson Bridge Road to E.E. Butler Parkway have leaf pickup the first and third week of the month. Homes north of that line have pickup the second and fourth weeks. Leaves must be at the curb by Monday.
