The fourth annual Latino Youth Conference is set for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 17 at Gainesville State College.
The free event, open to area high school students and their parents, will take place in the Continuing Education/Performing Arts Center.
The conference will feature workshops that cover information related to enrollment requirements at a college or a university. Also, information about admission requirements, differences between a college and a university, financial aid, and scholarships for Latino students will be provided.
The workshops will be in Spanish.
Also, students will be able to get information about other colleges and universities and learn about scholarship opportunities.
A light breakfast and lunch will be served to all participants.
