Lanier Charter Career Academy is changing its name and expanding its connections with other schools, but its core mission of preparing students for employment and helping them become contributing members of their communities remains the same. In the coming weeks, the school will formally transition to being Lanier College Career Academy, LCCA Principal David Moody told The Times. Moody said the academy already enjoys great support through its partnership with Lanier Technical College by preparing students for work in the culinary arts, cosmetology, welding, horticulture, health care, business and other programs.
