Lane closures set overnight Thursday in Browns Bridge replacement project

Drivers could face traffic delays on Browns Bridge Road/Ga. 369 Thursday night and early Friday as work to replace Brown Bridge forces lane closures.

The closures are set to begin at 7 p.m. March 28 and end at 6 a.m. March 29, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The closures will allow construction of a concrete caisson.

The $27 million project, which calls for replacing the green metal truss bridge over Lake Lanier, is set for completion in April 2020.
