Three decades of love and hard work brought hundreds of people to Lakeview Academy on Thursday afternoon.The student center was packed with former and current students, teachers, friends and family of Ben and Ruth Hunter.The two celebrated their retirement after 33 years of working as housekeepers at the school.“They have impacted every single person that has walked into the school. Their lives have totally made a difference in all of our lives,” Connie White, technology and learning director, said with tears in her eyes.Ruth Hunter said she was pleased by all of the people who came but she wasn’t surprised.“It’s all about love. That’s how God wanted it to be.
