Juvenile Court Deputy Clerk II Anna Kaye Stover stays busy in her office these days organizing who gets time on the bench. Juvenile Court and Probate Court are making plans to move to the courthouse annex next year, giving each judge a courtroom.
Hall County officials estimate it will take another 10 to 12 months before Juvenile and Probate courts can open in the courthouse annex. The expansion into the space next door to the county courthouse along Spring Street in downtown Gainesville is expected to extend the life of the courthouse for up to 18 years. The courthouse was built in 2002 and currently houses Probate, Magistrate, State, Juvenile and Superior courts.
