Gainesville residents who normally have their trash picked up on Friday will have to wait until Tuesday because of the July Fourth holiday, according to the city.

Due to the holiday, the city had to change its solid waste schedule for the week, and no garbage will be picked up in the city on Friday, according to a news release from the city.

While Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday, other trash for Friday customers will be picked up on Tuesday.
