Jaycees honor young leaders

Two young leaders were honored Thursday by the Gainesville Jaycees at its annual Young Man and Young Woman of the Year awards.

Lee Rogers is the Young Man of the Year. Rogers has worked with community organizations including Challenged Child and Friends, Rehabilitation Industries of Northeast Georgia, Gainesville Parks and Recreation and Gainesville First United Methodist Church, among others.

He also has served as auctioneer for many local nonprofit organizations’ fundraisers and has helped organize local charity golf tournaments.

He is a graduate of Gainesville High School and the University of Georgia and is married with three children and a stepson.

Robyn Lynch is the Young Woman of the Year. Lynch is a founding member of WomenSource, has served on the board of directors of Interactive Neighborhood for Kids and is president of Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County.

She grew up in Savannah and graduated from Georgia Southern University. In 2004 she moved to Hall County. She is married and has two children.
