The inaugural Cross the Line Dance Competition brought out more than 100 onlookers Saturday afternoon at Grove Street Station in Gainesville, where teams from Hall County and beyond took to the stage.

“It went great,” said Lisa Chester, an event sponsor. “There were a lot of people here, and it was a whole lot of fun.”

The first set included a creative dance routine by the Lil’ Bosses, the Lady All Stars and the Black Diamonds. Subsequent sets included a hip hop dance routine and a cultural dance.

The event was also sponsored by the Gainesville Housing Authority.

Local team the Black Diamonds will perform again from 4-6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Atlanta Street Community Center in Gainesville.
