The left-hand lane of a portion of Interstate 985 northbound near Oakwood was shut down temporarily today while the Georgia State Patrol investigated a one-car accident with injuries.

The wreck happened shortly before 2 p.m. near mile marker 17, about a half-mile from exit 13, the patrol said.

The extent of the injuries was not immediately known. The crash victim was not airlifted.
