All lanes of Interstate 985 were blocked north of Exit 17 Friday night due to a major accident, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said the two-vehicle accident injured one, who was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Lanes were closed for about 30 minutes. Gainesville Fire Department also responded.
