Gainesville's offices are closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Hall County offices closed today through Friday for holiday

Hall County's administrative offices, courts and community centers will be closed today for an employee furlough day and Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Essential public safety and public works personnel will continue service as usual during the furlough. Landfill and compactor sites will remain open.

Gainesville trash pickup delayed

The city of Gainesville will not pick up garbage or recycling Thursday or Friday. Garbage pickup will resume Monday and Tuesday and recycling will resume Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. For more information, call Billy Carter, assistant solid waste supervisor, at 770-532-0493.

Schools, colleges closed for holiday

Gainesville State College will be closed today through Friday, including both the Gainesville and Oconee campuses. North Georgia College & State University is closed today through Friday. Hall County Schools are closed this week. Gainesville City Schools are closed this week.
