Hearts and Hands Emporium offers deals to help heal
Cat Goodrum sets up a vintage ferris wheel displaying her pin clips Friday afternoon at her booth Cat’s Carpetbags at the annual Hearts & Hands Emporium inside the First Baptist Church banquet hall. This year’s beneficiary is the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support.

Bargains weren’t the only driving force behind shoppers attending Friday’s annual Hearts and Hands Emporium in the banquet hall at First Baptist Church, 751 Green St., Gainesville.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support, a local nonprofit organization that supports women undergoing treatment and recovery from gynecological cancers.

More than 65 vendors are offering items on sale in the two-day event, which continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

Tickets are $5 per shopper, ages 16 and under free. For more, visit
