The Hall County Sheriff's Office hasn't been able to speak yet to the 19-year-old victim of a shooting at his South Hall home.

Jerrod Turner was shot in the abdomen early Monday in his home in the 5700 block of Hickory Wood Lane in the Countryside Mobile Home Park.

"He underwent another surgery yesterday," said sheriff's office spokesman Col. Jeff Strickland on Wednesday. "He has not been taken off a respirator and that is why we have not been able to speak to him. He is still listed as stable."

Turner's girlfriend, who was in the home at the time of the shooting, called 911 and reported the incident just after 8 a.m., Strickland has said.

Turner was flown by helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta after the incident.

The mobile home park is off Lanier Islands Parkway near Interstate 985.
