Hall County holds its first public hearing on the fiscal year 2013 budget tonight. Some details of the proposed $89.2 million spending plan have already been released for public consumption, like the fact that it includes no increase in the property tax rate. The plan also looks to reduce existing employee furlough days from 12 to three, employee retirement contributions could come back in January, and the emergency management service has earmarked funds for an electronic weather warning system.
