Hall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two separate robberies Tuesday that do not appear to be related — one at a bank and another during a home invasion, according to Sheriff’s Col. Jeff Strickland.
Deputies responded to the bank robbery around 6:25 p.m. at El Banco on Atlanta Highway near Hall Street.
Four men armed with handguns had entered the bank wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts. Two of them jumped over the counter and took an undetermined money from cash drawers while the other two guarded the door and lobby, Strickland said.
After the robbery, the men ran to an awaiting car. No one was injured.
Investigators are reviewing evidence and video surveillance to identify the robbers.
At about 6:30 p.m., Hall deputies responded to the 1800 block of Calvary Drive on a report of a home invasion robbery.
In this incident, three black men armed with handguns entered a Calvary Drive residence, Strickland said. They tied up a 28-year-old male resident and stole several home electronics, including a laptop, a cell phone and a video game. The resident was not injured.
The men escaped in an awaiting car, described as a white, four-door sedan.
The men were described as being of average height and weight, with two wearing their hair in dreadlocks.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 770-531-6879.
