Jackson EMC recognized companies across Northeast Georgia with its Right Choice Homebuilder Awards on April 30.
“The Right Choice home program is 14 years old and still going strong,” Jackson EMC Director of Residential Marketing Christy Queen said in a press release. “This program is successful because of our builders’ commitment to the program and we are proud to honor them for that commitment.”
The Jackson EMC program presents a Builder of the Year and a Leadership Award every year to an organization in each of three categories. The electric utility company also provides several Community Spotlight awards.
The categories include the diamond class for those who build more than 100 Right Choice homes during the year, platinum for those who build 26-99 Right Choice homes and gold for those who build 25 Right Choice homes.
Right Choice homes are houses equipped by Jackson EMC with the proper installations to sustain energy efficiency.
The Builder of the Year was given to Kolter Homes LLC in Hall County with a diamond class, Veritas Homes in Braselton with a platinum class and Sandstone Custom Homes Inc. in Jackson and Hall counties with a gold class.
The Leadership Awards went to Mark Findley of Kolter Homes, David Dills of Veritas Homes and Robert Sanders with Sandstone Customer Homes Inc.
Those who received a Community Spotlight award from Hall County and Braselton include Kolter Homes LLC, Chafin Communities, The Pulte Group Inc., Century Communities, Premier Residential Builders and Veritas Homes.
