The Hall County Board of Commissioners denied a request Thursday night to abandon a 1,200-foot portion of Beards Road in South Hall and intends to pave the dirt road instead. Reggie Morgan, speaking on behalf of his father-in-law, told commissioners he wanted a portion of Beards Road jutting off New Bethany Road closed because of concerns about illegal dumping, theft of property and speeding along the road. “There’s been nothing but trouble for years and years and years off this dirt road,” he added.
