The Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Northeast Georgia’s Georgia State Patrol Troop B both placed second in their respective categories at the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety’s annual Governor’s Challenge Awards. The event, held Friday at the Macon Centreplex, is designed to award achievements in highway safety enforcement and education, according to a press release. The sheriff’s office won second in the 251-500 officer category.
